TEXT-MANIFEST

This site prefers plain text.

All documents are written first as simple .txt files. Plain text is
easy to read, easy to archive, and works everywhere: terminals,
editors, pagers, browsers, and over slow or remote connections.

When an HTML version exists, it is only a rendered view of the same
text. HTML is provided for convenience (navigation, mobile reading,
sharing), not as a replacement for the original document.

Plain text is intentional:
- no layout assumptions
- no visual distractions
- no dependence on styles or scripts
- readable today and years from now

If you like reading in a terminal, use the .txt files.
If you prefer a browser, use the HTML view.

The content is the same.

Plain text is the source of truth.
